During a school visit to a community art space, students receive three simple reminders. They should keep voices low in the working area, ask before photographing any person and leave objects where they are. Nam sees a colourful table and asks a guide, ‘May I take a photo of the display?’ The guide says the objects are fine, but two artists are working behind the table and do not want to appear in pictures. Nam changes his position and checks again. The guide agrees. Although Nam wants a close photograph, he stays behind the marked line. Later, a friend asks an artist to repeat her name. However, he does not copy the pronunciation as a joke. He listens, tries once respectfully and thanks her. The group leaves with fewer photos than expected but with clear permission for every image.

Curiosity with consent
Tìm rule–reason–repair. Phân biệt hỏi để hiểu với hỏi dồn để thay đổi câu trả lời ‘không’.
Curiosity can make a visit meaningful, but it does not remove another person's right to choose. Ask before you photograph a person, touch an object or enter a marked space. Listen to the complete answer because permission may include a limit: photos of a display may be allowed although photos of people are not. If the answer is no, accept it and do not demand a private reason. Rules can also change between places or events. However, one unfamiliar rule does not prove that every person in a culture behaves in the same way. Describe the specific place and situation. When you do not understand a word, name or action, ask a neutral question and thank the person for the explanation. If you make a mistake, stop, apologise briefly and follow the guidance. Respectful communication keeps curiosity, consent and context together.
