During a practice exercise, a student received a message that said, ‘The main door is closed. Go somewhere else now!’ The message named no source, time or alternative route. The student did not forward it. She asked the teacher whether the message was part of the drill. The teacher checked the school channel and said that the main door was open; only the east practice route was marked closed. He asked where the student had received the first message. She showed him the class chat, and the teacher contacted the sender. The student who wrote it had misunderstood a practice card. With the teacher's help, he posted a correction: ‘Drill update from the school office, 9:35: the east practice route is closed. Groups should use the approved west corridor.’ The correction used the same channel, named the source and gave one clear action.

Four checks before sharing
Đọc mỗi tin theo S-T-P-A: source, time, place, action. Một ô trống nghĩa là cần hỏi, không phải cần đoán.
Before sharing a safety message, check four elements. First, source: does the message name a responsible office, authority or adult who can verify it? Second, time: is the information current, or is an old screenshot returning without its date? Third, place: does the instruction apply to your school, street or area? Fourth, action: is the next step clear and consistent with the approved plan? If an element is missing, pause and ask through a trusted channel. Do not improve a message by adding your own dramatic detail. If you shared an error, correct it promptly in the same place and state what changed. A correction is responsible, not embarrassing. In any real emergency, use current official channels and follow trained adults or local authorities. A classroom checklist supports careful language; it does not create emergency expertise. A dated source makes verification faster, calmer and easier for every reader in the group.
