Bẫy cần gỡ
Không viết advised me that keep.
Wh-question thường hạ giọng khi tìm thông tin mới; yes/no question thường lên giọng trung tính. Khi kiểm lại một phần đã nghe, người nói có thể lên giọng ở từ cần xác nhận. Ngữ điệu phụ thuộc ý định, không phải dấu hỏi đơn thuần.

A fictional student media team loses access to the latest audio outline ten minutes before a classroom presentation. The file is not dangerous or private, but the group has no offline copy. Their mentor helps them respond and later review the event. During the problem, she says, ‘Use the printed running order first.’ She then says, ‘Open the shared folder, check the version label and record any change on paper.’ After the presentation, she adds, ‘Keep one clearly labelled offline backup for the next similar task.’ She also says, ‘Do not store private interview details in an unprotected classroom file.’ In the lesson-learned memo, the students report each function accurately. They write that the mentor instructed them to use the printed running order, then to open the folder, check the label and record changes in that order. They report that she advised them to keep one labelled offline backup for a similar task. They add that she warned them not to store private details in an unprotected file. The team does not turn the event into a universal rule requiring thirty printed copies. The useful condition is narrower: when a short classroom presentation depends on one digital outline, one controlled offline backup can preserve continuity. The memo also states that real organisations may have different security procedures. Its final lesson is practical and limited. A backup supports one process, clear labels prevent version confusion, and privacy rules still determine what may be copied.

A lesson is strongest when it states where it works
Tách EVENT–ADVICE–PROCEDURE–WARNING–CONDITION–EXCEPTION. Kiểm reporting verb và object.
People often turn one difficult event into a short lesson: prepare a backup, ask earlier or check the source. Such advice can be useful, but it becomes misleading when the conditions disappear. A paper backup may support a classroom presentation; it may be unsuitable for confidential records governed by a different security process. A lesson-learned memo should therefore report both the advice and its boundary. Reporting verbs help separate functions. A mentor may advise a team to keep one labelled backup, remind a student to record a version date, warn the group not to expose private information and instruct members to follow a three-step procedure. These verbs are not interchangeable. Advice recommends; a reminder calls back a known duty; a warning identifies risk; an instruction specifies an action or sequence. Grammar alone does not make the memo responsible. The writer must preserve who received the message, whether the original was negative and which condition made the advice relevant. ‘The editor warned us not to publish the estimate as a fact’ has a different meaning from ‘The editor invited us to publish it.’ The noun advice also requires care: in standard English it is uncountable, so writers use ‘some advice’ or ‘a piece of advice’, not ‘an advice’. A useful memo includes the event, response, result, lesson, condition and next review. It can also note exceptions or questions for a responsible adult or specialist. Classroom scenarios should use fictional files and should never encourage students to copy passwords, personal records or confidential material. Context matters. The aim is not to produce a dramatic rule. It is to preserve a tested lesson while making clear when another context requires a different procedure.

Model • 200 words
Ten minutes before a fictional classroom presentation, our team lost access to the latest audio outline. We had no offline copy, so the mentor instructed us to use the printed running order first. She then instructed us to open the shared folder, check the version label and record any change on paper. The presentation continued with a shorter introduction. Afterwards, she advised us to keep one labelled offline backup for the next similar task. She reminded me to add the version date, and she warned the group not to store private interview details in an unprotected file. The lesson is not ‘print everything’. Under these classroom conditions, one controlled backup can support continuity when a presentation depends on one digital outline. Confidential records or real organisations may require different security procedures. The result also does not prove that a backup prevents every failure. For the next simulation, we will label one offline copy, assign one person to confirm the current version and review the file after the event. If the material includes sensitive information, we will ask the responsible adult which procedure applies. The memo preserves the useful lesson, its privacy limit and the condition under which it was tested.
